 Support In Hand Support Services
provide a variety of services to assist people in their own homes, retaining existing choice of lifestyle whilst enabling them to retain their independence.

What we can do for you:

  • Shopping, we can go for you, or we can take you and assist you whilst you are choosing your own things.

  • Socialising, we can accompany you to a restaurant, an event, cinema, clothes shopping or even to a friends house and assist you if you are not able to do so yourself, the list is endless.

  • Cooking, we can cook for you, assist you in making your own meals or help you to organise a meal delivery service.

  • Day Sits, for company, social well being and reassurance.

  • Administrative Assistance, we can help you write letters, make telephone calls or fill in forms, help you to keep track of your finances and pay bills etc.

  • Companionship, we can sit and read, chat or listen to you, even play games if you wish.

  • Doctors/Hospital/Prescriptions, we can accompany you, wait with you if required and bring you home or alternatively pick up prescriptions when needed.

  • Domestic help, please go to the section headed "Domestic Services"

 Please note: we do not provide a Personal Care Service.

When we can do it: 
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Fortnightly
  • Occasionally
  • Whenever you like

Monday to Friday

Between 9am - 6pm

(Evening trips when booked in advance)

In addition to this we are able to provide temporary weekend visits and a day sitting service.

 How we will do it:

  • Our aim is to provide a safe and reliable flexible, personal and confidential service to our clients, promoting independence, choice and dignity, to help enhance an independent lifestyle within the comfort of people's own home environment.

  • We value and recognise each individuals uniqueness and their rights to choice and in doing so deliver the highest quality of support tailored to each individuals needs, preferences and abilities.

  • We endeavour to make sure you always have the same Support Worker each week.  There will be times when the 'said' Support Worker will be on holiday or sick and in these circumstances we will always send in someone else that you will have met previously, for peace of mind of knowing who is coming into your home.

  • We fully vet our staff by completing our rigorous recruitment process and all staff that are employed or facilitated by us have enhanced DBS clearance, in doing so we ensure they're efficient, trustworthy, honest, reliable and caring.

  • We will monitor your service regularly and encourage feedback from you to ensure that the service we provide continues to be of a high standard and meets your needs.
